Parent & Public Support
The Cadet Corps relies on support from the parents and the public to continue to provide opportunities for cadets to train. While we do receive support from the Federal Government and The Canadian Scottish Regiment it is the parents and sponsoring committee that truly drives the opportunities available to the cadets. If you are interested in helping out there are various options available, and you don’t need to have a cadet in the program to contribute to our success.
The Sponsoring Committee is the easiest way for parents to meet and get information about the cadet corps, and where the Commanding Officer can maintain regular contact with the parents of the cadets.
The Sponsoring Committee assists with fundraising events in support of cadet activities and programs to ensure that all cadets receive an equal opportunity to participate in our journey. The Committee provides practical and financial support to the cadet corps through the broad experience of it’s members to help inform the Commanding Officer of the cadet corps on opportunities and options.
Join our Sponsoring Committee
Join our committee and lend your experience, and time to the cadet corps success. There are many opportunities and ways to contribute from simple volunteer time to fundraising planning or direct support to exercises and events.
Donate Bottle Return Proceeds
You can contribute your bottle return proceeds at the Hayes Rd Nanaimo Regional Recycling Depot. Just let them know you would like your return proceeds to go to the 2422 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps and they will donate them to the Cadet Corps.
